The Ventilated Textile Facade
The ventilated facade is an innovative construction system which, compared to traditional processes solves in a much more rational and effective way the problems of insulation, ventilation and external cladding of buildings.
It protects buildings against bad weather and thermal shock while beautifying them.
+ Efficient in terms of thermal, hygrometric and acoustic insulation !
+ Architecturally and aesthetically innovative!
+ Respectful of the living space and the comfort of the inhabitants
+ Sustainable
+ 100% recyclable
In traditional construction, the exterior cladding is glued to the insulation layer. With the ventilated textile facade, these elements are separated by an empty space called an air gap.
By a "chimney effect" an air flow will circulate permanently in this space and regulate the temperature and humidity of the building.
The effect of ventilation is at its maximum when it is able to act effectively on the entire facade, which requires very careful dimensioning of the insulation, the air gap and the cladding.
According to the analysis in EU 14501 a textile facade offers a solar factor of 0.21 against 0.47 with a textile blind arranged inside the building.
The positive consequence is the significant reduction of operating costs related to air conditioning.
